Popstar Peter Andre raised the roof when he brought his Angels and Demons tour to the Grimsby Auditorium (writes Selina Maycock).
Many loyal fans had queued outside the venue since 11am in freezing temperatures to make sure they could get as up close and personal as possible with Peter, in the hope of an unrestricted view on the front row.
And to get the crowds warmed up, there was music from three support acts – The Rise, The Risk and Hull-born solo singer Sam Gray.
Peter couldn't keep fans waiting and he made it onto the stage on time, just before 9pm.
He emerged, stood on top of a giant TV screen looking like an action man in his body-armor style suit – complete with glowing finger tips to complete the Terminator-style look.
A firework waterfall began to flow from the roof and sizzled to the edge of the stage.
And it was straight into making the show a real showcase, when the magic illusions started rolling.
Peter got into character as he was wrapped in a large black sheet.
I was a little horrified as to what was going to happen next, having already waited to see him and not quite ready to say goodbye, but then he vanished.
But fans fear not, for he returned to the stage out of a hoop screen, having somehow switched places with one of his dancers to re-appear in front of our very eyes like magic.
Mixing the magic with moves, Peter showed off his fantastic dance moves complete with a giant umbrella to help him dodge sparks from the indoor fireworks.
Pete got all romantic with his performance of Perfect Night, already looking the part in his black dinner suit, he launched rose petals into the crowd from high-powered confetti canons that were fixed to the ceiling.
And now he had wooed the girls, it was straight into the role of James Bond 007.
A James Bond scene would not be complete without a personalised logo – 00P – and a few action men and 'bad guys' for Peter to fight off before he could get his hands on the diamond – a true Defender.
And if you thought the gadgets were all gone – Peter uses his 'hand-cam' to take a closer look at the audience before stepping down into the crowds for a better look.
Every Bond scene would not be complete without a bond car and he returned to the stage with a fluorescent light tube for another illusion.
A text competition to find Peter's Bond girl, was won by a girl called Danielle, who was living the dream of every Peter Andre fan when she was led on stage to get up close and personal with him.
Peter serenaded her with a performance of BeeGee's classic How Deep is your Love.
But looking rather dazed, even when Peter tried to get her dancing, Danielle simply sat and soaked up the moment.
Singing songs from his new album Angels and Demons, Peter performed Fly Away before taking fans back to his early reggae days.
Performing a mix of popular reggae hits, and a new track recorded with Shaggy, it was time to get the crowds dancing.
And no song could have them on their feet than Mysterious Girl.
Pete prepared the audience with a master dance class, with a variety of moves so they could join in with the chorus.
After all the dancing, Peter slowed things down to perform a cover of John Lennon's hit Imagine, which he performed alongside his brother Chris on acoustic guitar.
Fans appreciated a song called Thank You, which Peter said he wrote for them in return for all the support people have given him over the years.
After getting sentimental it was time to rock things up a bit with his version of Bon Jovi's You Give Love A Bad Name before sliding into his hit single Behind Closed Doors taken from his album Revelation.
Peter had captured the hearts of hundreds of fans by the end of the evening – having put on a great showcase that should leave other solo artists shaken and stirred.
Proving Peter has the whole performance package, he certainly should be proud of being an entertainer.
Love him or hate him, critics should cut him some slack, for Peter's mission is to make music, put on a good show and most importantly, delivery what the fans want.
And he's certainly doing just that, for Pete it seems like no mission is impossible.
