One of the New Forest’s most renowned hotels, The Montagu Arms is teaming up with the UKs largest motor museums to offer the ‘Best Of British Breaks’ package.
The 4 star hotel is located in Beaulieu within the scenic New Forest National Park. The Hotel’s close proximity to the Beaulieu National Motor Museum means they receive hundreds of guests every year visiting the renowned attraction.
The museum is famed for telling the story of motoring through history right up to the modern day. It’s particularly well known for its exhibits dedicated to the popular television show, Top Gear, and its collection of motors from the James Bond films.
The museum will open its latest exhibit this Easter called ‘For Britain & For The Hell Of It’ which celebrates the story of British land speed records.
This year is the 85th Anniversary of Henry Segrave’s record in the ‘Golden Arrow’ and the 50th Anniversary of Donald Campbell’s Bluebird CN7 record. The exhibit will tell the story of the two men behind the motors for the first time, with artefacts never before seen on public display.
The exhibit portrays a quintessentially British story with a moving audio-visual presentation, giving visitors a ‘behind-the-scenes’ experience. It also introduces them to those who have taken lead on keeping Britain’s record breaking history alive today.
In honour of the new exhibit, the Montagu Arms Hotel has created a special short break package for visitors looking to enjoy the motor museum during their stay – the ‘Best of British Break’.
The specialised activity break will be available from Easter 2014 to coincide with the opening of the exhibition.
The package will include Michelin star dining in The Hotel’s Terrace Restaurant, luxury overnight accommodation, entry to the museum and tickets for the ‘For Britain & For The Hell Of It’ exhibit, from £140 per person.
The ‘Best of British Break’ includes:· A 3 Course dinner in the Michelin Starred Terrace Restaurant
· Overnight accommodation
· Complimentary tea and coffee brought to your room in the morning
· A hearty New Forest breakfast
· 2 entrance tickets to the National Motor Museum including the 'For Britain & For The Hell Of It' - The Story of British Land Speed Records exhibition
The hotel is known for providing a traditional English experience, which for many visitors, is the perfect complement to a visit at the museum which celebrates British motoring. Guests can add to the traditional theme by adding an afternoon tea to their visit for which the hotel has won a number of accolades.
The 17th century country house hotel was previously home to the Montagu family who owned the surrounding Beaulieu estate.
Winning ‘Gold’ at the Beautiful South Awards 2013, the Hotel is known for offering a prestige service with its traditionally decorated luxury rooms and Michelin star dining.
Hotel Manager, Sunil Kanjanghat said “A lot of our guests visit the Motor Museum and we know many will come to view the exciting new exhibition. We want them to have a truly unforgettable visit to Beaulieu. So we’ve put together the ‘Best of British Break’ so they can have a great day out at the museum and enjoy a luxury experience staying at the Montagu Arms.”
