Dame Judi Dench reveals how she remembers her lines This is Surrey -- DAME Judi Dench has revealed how she still remembers all her lines.
The 78-year-old James Bond star, who lives in Outwood, told Channel 4 news she has taken memory supplements since retaining scripts has become "more difficult" in recent years.
The legend of stage and screen has had a career spanning five decades and has shown no sign of slowing down in recent years.
But last year it emerged Dame Judi is dealing with a loss of eyesight, caused by muscular degeneration and sometimes has people read scripts to her.
When asked, in an interview for Channel 4, how she remembers her lines, she replied: "I don't know how I retain it.
"I take that wonderful thing called IQ every morning because the Master of Magdalen [College at Cambridge] told me about it ages ago and he said 'oh you should take that for your memory, it's wonderful'.
She added: "Long may it last."
Dame Judi will next appear alongside Ben Whishaw - who played Q in the latest James Bond film - in John Logan's new play Peter and Alice.
The show, which opens at the Noel Coward Theatre on March 25 tells of the meeting between the real-life inspirations for Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan. Reported by This is 14 hours ago.

LOS ANGELES, March 19 (Reuters) - Movie studio MGM said on Tuesday it expects to release the next James Bond movie within three years, and hopes to announce soon a new director after Sam Mendes decided to move on.
In a conference call with investors, MGM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Gary Barber said the studio was developing the screenplay for the next, 24th movie in the 50-year-old franchise about the British secret agent.
"We are very excited about the franchise, we look forward to announcing a director soon," Barber said.
"We are currently developing the screenplay and working with our partners. We look forward to developing the script soon and signing a director. We are hoping within the next 3 years it will be released," Barber added.
He gave no details on casting but Daniel Craig has already signed on for two more films in the lead role as the suave 007 agent.
The 2012 Bond film "Skyfall," starring Craig, made $1.1 billion at the global box office and impressed critics. But Britain's Mendes said earlier this month that he wanted to focus on his theater projects for the foreseeable future.
Barber said Mendes "did an amazing job on 'Skyfall'. We are very thankful for the work that he did."
Privately-held MGM jointly produced "Skyfall" with Sony Corp's movie studio arm.
MGM said on Monday that "Skyfall" and "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" had helped bring a three-fold increase in its 2012 net income. Reported by Huffington Post 14 hours ago.

Matt Smith to quit Doctor Who? This is Bristol -- Matt Smith could quit his lead role in Doctor Who at Christmas, according to a report. According to The Sun, "Doctor Who bosses are lining up Matt Smith's exit for Christmas — when he will regenerate into the 12th Time Lord. "Insiders say the festive special will be Matt's last outing as The Doctor, after a triumphant four years in the role". But the BBC was quick to pour cold water on the rumour today, saying: "Sorry folks, but even we don't know what's going to happen at Christmas, it's not been written yet. "But Matt loves the show and is about to start filming the unmissable 50th anniversary, and star in the brand new series on Easter Saturday." Matt first signed up to play the Time Lord in 2009 for £200,000 a year. It is thought he now earns a £1 million salary. Matt recently hinted he was committed to the role for this year but further appearances were yet to be confirmed. When interviewed on Jonathan Ross's show last week he said: "At the moment, it's 2013 and we will see what 2014 holds." But he added: "I'm very happy doing it." Matt, 30, is understood to have been cast as the male lead in Ryan Gosling's directorial debut How To Catch A Monster. He recently told The Sun: "I'm not handsome enough to be James Bond. Maybe a villain though. Start campaigning now. I don't think I could be James Bond though." Reported by This is 19 hours ago.
